The lens of a multifocal glasses is composed of three zones:

Upper part – Without power, for your normal distance vision of objects like traffic signs.
Middle zone – A smooth and invisible transition between far and near, for a seamless visual experience.
Lower part – With an optional plus power for near vision, such as reading or smartphone use.
